Children are natural learners who learn best through hands-on, developmentally appropriate play.

They excel when information is presented in an immersive way across all subjects, as compartmentalization can make it difficult for some learners to process information.

In North Carolina, 33% of school-aged children receive special education services, evidence that many children learn differently and require assistance to access curriculum. 

Self-esteem and self-worth come from feeling successful with everyday tasks. For young children, this includes school. When they are accepted for who they are and encouraged to be who they are created to be, they will love learning and hunger for more. 

Teachers and administrators need to know parents’ goals for their children to serve the family well. This requires small teacher-to-student ratios and regular communication. Children are more successful if they have a team to support their progress.
